What is Little Music Suzuki ECE?
Toronto Suzuki School's weekly program for age 0-3, Little Music Suzuki ECE: small, calm group music classes designed to develop talent and ability in the Suzuki way.
These gentle, supportive, and focused classes have a maximum of 8 children per group for optimal learning, observation, and fun, and lovingly prepare our first student families for eventual Suzuki instrument learning.
Among the countless benefits of early music education, Little Music Suzuki ECE students learn rhythm, timing, dynamics, diatonic and chromatic, how to play drums and Orff instruments, pattern recognition, ascending and descending, composition, melody and harmony, preparatory instrument positioning, pre-reading skills, counting, singing, timed actions and regulation, practicing, listening, leading, building memory and language skills, mastery of repertoire – and how to have a great time in a class situation with a warm and caring first-teacher experience.
Our Little Music program focuses on positively observing our students' weekly progress - including their group interactions where prosocial behaviours are encouraged and leadership opportunities abound. Little Music teachers are certified music pedagogues and qualified Suzuki educators, with a special focus in early childhood learning and family development. Each week, your teacher will share their positive observations of your child's progress in our classes, and listen to your insights.
Our 10-wk Spring session is Friday April 5 - Friday June 7 2024, 9:45AM-10:30AM at our Trinity Bellwoods location

Our Little Music locations
Little Music classes are held in Toronto's west-end. We are proud collaborators of The Orchard Lyceum, located in Toronto's vibrant and diverse Trinity Bellwoods neighbourhood.
Our classes take place in the art gallery, facing Queen West.
Our Little Music locations are accessible and prioritize inclusivity, ensuring that every family of every background and ability feels welcomed and valued. Our classes are easily modified for varying levels of mobility for participating grown-ups and their children, prioritizing mindful and peaceful interaction with everyone.
Little Music Class Policies
Little Music is an independently-run program with The Toronto Suzuki School - not a franchise. Little Music has been the starting point of the Suzuki Method journey for countless Toronto families since 2014.
